In our January team update, we look both backward and forward, as we offer our thanks to you for your loyalty and continued support during 2020, and look ahead to the changes that 2021 might bring.
A look back at 2020… and a huge thank you
When the coronavirus threat arrived in the UK at the start of last year, we at Fingerprint began putting plans in place to keep our staff safe. On 23 March, as the country was told to go into lockdown, we began working from home in line with the government’s lockdown rules.
While businesses rushed to adapt, millions of UK workers were placed on furlough, and business owners faced agonising decisions daily. We and our colleagues at Fingerprint were among the lucky ones.
The nature of the work we do means that we are able to work remotely. We can keep in contact with you by telephone and email, and in fact, aside from video calls replacing face-to-face meetings, we hope you noticed no difference in the service you received.
Thanks to the hard work and dedication of our staff, we are confident that this is the case.
But we also know that we couldn’t have got through the year without your support. With that in mind, we’d like to take this opportunity to say a massive ‘thank you.’
We will be here for you in the year ahead
2020 was a difficult year for many reasons – the threat to health posed by the virus itself, the physical and emotional strains of lockdown, and the damage to the UK economy.
We were able to provide you with business-as-usual last year and as we begin 2021 in another lockdown, we will be here to help you during this new year too.
A January lockdown offers the perfect opportunity to get on top of your finances. With providers struggling under the same lockdown conditions as the rest of us, we might see delays over the coming months, making January a great time to begin your tax year-end planning.
If you’d like to speak to us about the end of the tax year, get in touch now. Among other things, we can help you:
- Top-up your pension contributions
- Make full use of your ISA subscription
- Put money aside for your children or grandchildren
- Use your HMRC annual exemption to make gifts to loved ones
- Manage your Capital Gains Tax Allowance
You can also contact us with any other queries you have about your retirement or financial plans for the year ahead.
Don’t forget to Refer a Friend
At the end of last year, we made our Fingerprint ‘Refer a Friend’ scheme more generous than ever.
Referrals are a great way for us to grow as a business, helping us to improve the service we can offer, and employing more finance experts to help make your financial dreams a reality.
We already offered you a £50 John Lewis or M&S voucher when you referred a friend or family member who went on to become a Fingerprint Financial Planning client.
Now we’re going further, giving you a £100 voucher for every subsequent friend, family member, or colleague who you refer.
So, what are you waiting for?
We have a strong reputation for client service here at Fingerprint, with over 130 five-star Google reviews. In a recent survey, 96% of our clients said they would recommend us to a friend, family member, or colleague.
Our experts can help you with any aspect of your financial or retirement planning and now we can do the same for your family and friends too.
