In your Fingerprint team update this time around you’ll find all the latest business and charity news.
IFA administrator Jack Harris is “In the Spotlight” and there are new starters to welcome and exam success to celebrate.
You can also find out the result of our charity survey, as we reveal the charity partner you chose for Fingerprint Financial Planning in 2023.
First up, let’s meet Jack.
Jack Harris, “In the Spotlight”
Jack is a relative newcomer to the financial services industry. He has one year of experience, working in a client-facing and administrative capacity.
What attracted you to the financial planning industry?
In recent years – and since my degree – I’ve taken a strong interest in finance. I have always found maths-based disciplines very rewarding.
Financial planning is a great way to apply this interest. It gives me the chance to help people find financial peace of mind, especially around their retirement and what they can leave to their children.
What do you like most about your job?
The atmosphere and ethics of the company. The team I work with are a very intelligent and kind group of people.
Ultimately the client’s needs are everyone’s priority and my colleagues are willing to make sacrifices if a client has a need. In the office, the team are only really interested in supporting each other, helping one another out, and sharing the credit for company and client wins.
Can you give an example of a client you have really helped recently?
I don’t have a specific example, but I will always find the time to help a client. That might mean trying to locate a pension or investment policy they’ve lost track of, assisting over the phone with any technical or IT problems or helping to make sure their investments are being taken care of.
What does your job look like day-to-day and how do you help our clients?
There’s a large variety to the work I do and a lot of time spent focused on our clients, whether writing to them or speaking over the phone.
Mainly though, I’m involved in preparing paperwork for our advisers’ client meetings, requesting policy and investment information, actioning agreed business or recommendations, servicing any withdrawals needed and keeping our clients updated at each stage of the process.
Thanks Jack, and all the best for your career with us. It’s great to have you onboard!
You have had your say and our charity partner for 2023 is….
Receiving 40.2% of the votes across the four charities we put forward, our charity survey winner was North Kent Mind.
Stay tuned for charity updates later in the year to read about the events that we will be taking part in, and how you can get involved.
Welcoming 2 new faces to the Fingerprint family
We have welcomed two new colleagues to the team over the last few months.
You will have already met IFA administrator Jack Harris, the focus of this month’s “In the Spotlight”. We would also like to take this opportunity to welcome financial adviser Joseph Homes.
All of us at Fingerprint Financial Planning look forward to working with you both and wish you all the best for your careers with us.
Exam success for IFA research administrator, Evelyn Woodard
IFA research administrator, Eve recently celebrated more exam success. She passed her R03 Personal Taxation Exam.
This qualification requires an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the UK taxation system and the tax treatment of individuals.
A huge congratulations to Eve on her continued success from the whole Fingerprint team!
